Third construction by Vesely brothers was based on RAF-79 – first Vesely’s car with ground effect. Brothers got help with aerodinamics from engineer Karl Dlouhe.
Brothers used this cars from 1980 to 1985 years. Jan Vesely take champion title in 1983 in Czechoslovakian Formula Easter league. In 1982 Jan Vesely had two wins and title in Peace and Friendship cup (PFC). In 1983 one more win for Jan in PFC. In 1984 brothers had three wins in PFC and vice-champion title for Jan Vesely. 1985 was the last year for car in brothers’s arms and it haven’t wins or title in PFC. It was time for next cat – RAF 86.
In 1985 one car was sold to hungarian driver Laslo Oroslan, another car was sold to czech Jaroslaw Skorwanek.
Brothers made two cars and one more car was made by hungarian driver Zoltan Stiller by brothers’s blueprints.
RAF 80 was one from best cars from Czechoslovakian formula cars from that epoch.
