The AMG-Mercedes C-Klasse DTM 1995 is available now at RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E). R3E have made it part of the C-Class DTM 1995 (no surprise here…). As always with R3E, even if you already own a pack of those cars you won’t get this car for free, so maybe wait for a pack that contains it, or wait for a sale.
On the other hand, we’d understand if you would not be able to wait, as it was with this car that “Mr. DTM” Bernd Schneider won the 1995 season of the DTM (at that point called ITC).
Oh, and imagine who else raced in this car? Bernd Mayländer, better known nowadays for being the official driver of Formula 1’s safety car. As well as Kurt Thiim, Nicki Thiims father, not to forget Dario Franchitti and of course that icon of racing ladies Ellen Lohr, who still is burning fuel thru racing history (after her career in Truck Racing we last saw her on the Dakar Rally, where she’s been part of since 2005 if memory serves well)
Another specialty of this classic car was that that the internal ballast of 60 Kg could be moved backwards and forwards with hydraulics to either help get rear wheel traction or to get easier handling. But we don’t expect R3E to have simulated that (would be cool tho…)
