Continuing with its policy of representing well-known racing series, RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E) will offer the WTCR as a racing experience.

If the acronym WTCR means nothing to you, it’s because it’s quite new, and the result of the merger between the WTCC and the TCR. Both FIA touring championships with audience reach problems in the past (not for lack of good pilots or interesting races, tho). It will be interesting for us SimRacers to see if there are differences in the handling between WTCC, TCR and WTCR cars. You can already start by testing the Audi RS 3 LMS TCR, which is already available in R3E.

The official release of the series for R3E will happen on a special event starting on May 10th and going until May 12th, where SimRacers will compete against each other, measure themselves against the pilots of the WTCR and qualify for the SimRace on May 12th. There’s even prices to be won.

Now, while it’s not completely unexpected that R3E gets the license for the WTCR, it’s still a good coup by them wich will surely make the Sim even more interesting for us all.
Or will it? What do you think? Will you get the WTCR series for R3E when it comes out?
